Resident film maker, musician, writer and social entrepreneur Rhonda Merrick has a private studio at Ashford Arts Centre for creating and directing performances from her books and poems, TV shows, films, stage plays and songs. The studio also houses the Ashford Arts Centre Tiny Theatre which is sometimes open for small public gatherings to watch original films, listen and share spoken word and musical events, learn and discuss things with guest speakers from theatre, music, film and television industries. Rhonda Merrick is a prolific writer, talented actress and musician who has made a home in Ashford to create international quality original works.

Rhonda Merrick is founder and co-director of KATFM CIC and Ashford Arts Centre. This video, narrated by Derek Sivers illustrates her leadership style. This movement would not have been possible without the first followers who braved a new ideal of having arts centres set up and run by the artists in residence for the benefit of small businesses in the creative and performing arts. The idea has gained momentum because crowds emulate the followers, not the leader.
